Behind the scenes of the biggest radio telescope on earth
With its 500-meters-wide aperture, the FAST radio telescope can detect radio signals emitted tens of thousands of light years away from Earth.
To build an instrument of such astronomical dimensions, engineers have faced the unprecedented challenge of constructing a giant radio receptor in the heart of the mountains. Our film “FAST, the Celestial Eye”, brings us behind-the-scenes of a colossal project.
From technological innovations to architectural challenges and the first results, we will follow each and every step that gave birth to the biggest radio telescope ever built
